One of the topics on the agenda of the government in the session held on August 20, 1967 was Israel’s policy in the West Bank. The meeting that day had two parts. Most of the afternoon was devoted to discussing the future of the West Bank and the need to make decisions on this matter. “I want to tackle the problem of maximum and minimum. The question is whether to accept a maximum number of Arabs with the minimum amount of territory or the minimum number of Arabs and maximum territory. Either we get minimum territory with minimum Arabs, or maximum territory with maximum Arabs. It is a tough decision”
