The Road to October 7, a new book by Akevot Institute researcher Adam Raz, analyzes the relationship between Hamas and Binyamin Netanyahu from his first tenure as Prime Minister beginning in 1996 up until the present war in the Gaza Strip. Raz describes the common interest shared by Hamas and Netanyahu and shows how Netanyahu’s policy serves to preserve and perpetuate the conflict in the region. The book, published as part of a collaboration between Akevot Institute and Pardes Publishing, also addresses Israel’s strategic bombing policy in the first weeks of the war and its consequences.
