Ehud Barak and Adam Raz in a conversation

October 7 did surprise Israel, but looking back – it’s hard to say that the road that led there wasn’t obvious, and in a sense even planned. Ten months into the war, it’s time to get answers to the most difficult questions.

In a special evening, former Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Akevot Institute researcher Adam Raz will meet for an open conversation about how the hell we got to this situation. Raz’s new book, “The Road to October 7” (Pardes Publishing), presents the relationship between Hamas and Netanyahu from his first term to the current war. Through a series of historical events, the book shows how the never-ending-conflict policy serves Netanyahu no less than our enemies.
