Prof. Yagil Levy, Head of The Open University Institute for the Study of Civil-Military Relations, has researched the IDF since the 1990s; drawing on this knowledge, he analyzes the soldiers’ testimonies published in the project, clarifies how this war differs from all the wars that came before it, explains which groups are currently fighting for control of the army, and how he sees the future of the IDF.
