In the fourth episode, we speak with Shira Livne, Director of ACRI’s Human Rights in the Occupied Territories Unit. Shira provided insights into the unique and extreme nature of the current situation – even for a veteran organization like ACRI. She discussed the difficulty relying on legal tools to protect human rights at a time when the judiciary is under attack and attention is focused on the needs of the war, the unprecedented wave of violence in the West Bank, the double abandonment of East Jerusalem’s residents, and the publicized assault on freedom of expression by the Israel Police.
